From Trouble Child to Oscar Winner

Do you ever feel trapped by your past? That you’re only going to be and do what you’ve always been and done? If so, award-winning composer Hans Zimmer has something to say about it.

As a child, Zimmer was kicked out of–not one, not two–but nine schools, with one instructor even predicting that he’d eventually end up in prison. With a past like this, you’d expect nothing but a life of trouble for Zimmer.

He was not, however, trapped by his past. Instead, Zimmer went on to become a world famous film score composer whose credits include Inception, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, Interstellar, The Dark Knight Trilogy, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and The Lion King for which he won an Oscar.

Your story is no different. An unsuccessful chapter in your past doesn’t curse every chapter to come. Every day can be a clean slate, every moment a new opportunity to write a new story.
