Seth Godin and the Lizard Brain

4 Feb

More than anything else, fear keeps us stuck in the routine. Fear makes sure you do what you did, every day. So the only way to change, the only way to do something new, is to beat fear. How do we do it? Seth Godin has an idea.

Interesting. I do have a habit of almost finishing writing projects, although I did get my new photography site up and running.

    Bob and Loretto,

Great comments. I love the music as well; I started the video over a few times just to hear it. : )

Thrash and shut that lizard brain up…exactly.

    Sheila,

Congrats on getting your site up and running. That’s fantastic.

As to your writing projects, think the lizard brain is keeping you from finishing?

Excellent video. A remarkable outlook on the inner functionings of the human brain and the motivation behind many things we do.

I couldn’t agree more, Vicki. This new perspective gives us another tool to fight the fears that hold us back.

Although I still don’t think I could throw a water balloon into a live audience!

English is not my native language so even I understand the word “trash / thrashing” I am not quite sure how to translate it into my language to keep the meaning. Other sugestion in video is sabotage. Are there more ideas?
