Quick Motivation: Change Your Life by Asking One Question

21 Jul

Ask the right questions and you’ll find the answers you need.

They’re amazing things, these “questions.” Merely speak the words and immediately our minds chug away, seeking out responses; it’s how we’re built.

The problem is that most people don’t know the ‘right’ questions to ask.

So here’s one I think is right.

Ask Yourself

What would you do if you had only 90 days to reach your goal or you would lose what you cared about most forever?

From clueless dreamers bumbling about, we become focused actors ready to pounce on any opportunity we see.

When the stakes are high enough, we find the answers we need.

Is there something wrong with me that these “make believe” situations do nothing to motivate me? I’m a person who has to have the figurative fire burning hot under my butt to get motivated. Procrastination has been an enemy to me as far back as early elementary school age. It seems to only get worse, and in my adult years has actually cost me money.

I loved this article because it really made me think about how important my goals are to me and how sad and upset I would feel if I could not reach my dreams and. I struggle with health problems and I know how short and fragile life can be. So this really touched a spark in me. I’m very determined to reach my goals and become successful.

Rather than using the make believe situation, you can focus on how not taking action now could result in real consequences. Not achieving your goal can result in real pain and focusing on that can result in greater motivation.
