Natalie,
Thank you so much for your note.
I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed the story. It’s the first of many videos I’ll be sending you.
And you’re right: we need to keep going, but we also need to slow down from time to time. : )
Hope you had a wonderful Easter too!
Jason
Powerful! Thanks to your presentation, I’ve let this sink in. I have a few more Saturdays than a thousand left, thankfully. All the more reason to get started making the most of my time left right now. Thank you for sharing.
Tom,
I’m with you: that story makes me want to make the most of my days every time I read it. (Or see it.)
Jason
You never know when that last marble will be spent. I had several friends that did get a chance to throw away many marbles at all.
didn’t….
Thank you! That was a lovely thought to grace a special weekend.
Marbles led me to value small pleasures 20 years ago when I was living in a small polluted city, with always-awful weather, in my first home. It was an enormous Victorian constantly in need of weekend-consuming repairs, but I loved the historic district and friendly neighbors. The flower shop down the street had a contest–guess the number of marbles in a huge glass jar–which I won. The shop’s owners kindly let me use my gift certificate a few stems at a time and every week or so I dropped in for a few blooms. When the credit ran out and there was nothing blooming in my weedy yard, I recognized how much joy I had from even a single beautiful flower, and from chatting with the cheerful florists. So I made room in my house-poor budget for a visit to the florist 2 or 3 times a month.
By the way, the number of marbles was over 1800, which happens to be about the number of Saturdays between now and reaching my parents’ age. Bouquets to you!
This is an excellent approach to priorty setting and finding what matters in life. My faith in God tells me my Saturdays never end. Thank you!
I couldn’t agree more. Well put!
Bee,
That was a perfect story.
I adore history, so you grabbed me with the historic district and old Victorian. Winning the contest…how great is that? The icing on the cake–you found happiness in a single flower. You said so much in one paragraph. Brilliant.
I hope you return with more stories to share. I really do.
Jason
Thank you Jason, I actually have not heard this story before, but it is anexcellent one. Thanks so much for sharing.
Best regards,
Donna
Donna,
Happy to hear that you were new to this story. It’s short and simple, but makes a strong point about living while we still have the time.
Thanks for your note!
Jason

thts awsome tnkx so much
Maroof,
It is I who should be thanking you for taking the time to not only visit my blog but also watch our new video and post a comment.
Jason
Many thanks for the reminder. According to this calculation, I wont need 1000 marbles. 100 would suffice.
Sudhir,
I’m happy to offer the reminder. It’s something we should always be aware of while we’re glued to the T.V. or backing down from the right goal. Time is short; use what you’ve got wisely.
Jason
Great way to remind us to make the most of our time & we have to remember we may not have as many “marbles” as we would like .
Maria,
I couldn’t have said it better myself. That’s why it helps to have such active and intelligent members. : )
Jason
Your articles have made many of my past Saturdays meaningful and am sure as days go by, the way I am able to reach out to so many teens and youth spreading that which I get at your site, I will be able to leave this world with a smile on while leaving behind a legacy. Happy Easter and pray that you live long to spread even more happiness. May your tribe increase
Ajit,
Thank you for that kind comment. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate what you’re doing–few things are as important as reaching out to and helping young children and teens.
Keep up the worthwhile fight to help those who need it most.
Jason

Tammy,
Happy to hear the video gave you ideas on how to make the most of your “marbles.”
We’d love to hear what you come up with.
Jason
Hi, I really enjoyed the video. This is something we should focus on before leaving this world. No one knows how many Saturdays are left…………
Thanks for sharing it.
Tania
Tania,
Thanks for your comment. Though it might not always be fun to think about, it is important to remember, as you said, that “no one knows how many Saturdays are left.”
Remembering that snippet is sometimes enough to get people past their fears and on to bigger and better things.
Jason
wow – thye say that the teacher appears when the student is ready – this could not have come at a better time for me – I am feeling fed up with my life and this just pointed out to me that I can sit and drink my coffee and listen to the world or I can get out there and use my 1000 (plus I hope) marbles and actaully have some fun!!! Thank you for the wake up call!!!
Jill,
Exactly!
I love your comment–hopefully many more will read it and take your lead.
It’s easy to sit and watch the world go by. Too easy. But with your attitude, you’ll stop sitting and start living, really living. I love it.
I’ll keep posting new and useful (I hope) material as long as you keep coming back with comments such as these.
Jason
I lost my marbles! Good stuff!
Chris,
Ha! I’m pretty sure I’ve felt that way many, many (many) times in the past. I know I’ll feel that way again.
Hope you find yours…(and make the most of them!)
Jason
its really nice.
Thanks for your note, Sanjay!
Good Morning Jason: Boy was that a wake-up call. Great visual and something not to take lightly. I’m going to buy some marbles and put them on my desk to remind me that I need to complete my assignments and not waste time procrastinating. Being my age, I don’t have many Saturdays to waste. Thank you.

The video gives new meaning to the phrase “he’s lost his marbles”
food for thought.
brian (mauritius)
Brian,
It really does, doesn’t it? Now I’ll be thinking about that all day…
Jason
visual things has more impact on mind.. thanks 4 such a good lesson..
To whom it may concern,
I would like to watch the video of “1.00 Marbles of Motivation” but unfortunately I cannot. However, I can watch all the others. Could you please help me sort out this problem? I read all the comments about this video, and I am now more curious to find out what is in it:))
Thanks in advance.
Feelin kind of down and out, but this just makes you appreciate the time you have in the here and now. Kind of got a dose of that when my children’s dad was killed in an automobile accident, but as time passes, you tend to let the days pass by without being able to remember what you have accomplished during the weeks or months that have passed by. This includes: spending quality time with the ones you love, giving yourself quality time, and working towards ones goals and dreams. Thank you for the wake up call. I will be thinking about those marbles and making the most out of my Saturdays.
Jason,
This is a wonderful story! I reminds me of how should i spend my remaining days. I really had a wonderful time viewing. I can’t help but to examine and evaluate my “true north principles” in life. Thank you!Wish you well my friend!
Thanks for the inspiring life….very great story.
Jason,
I found this clip such a big reminder. Its good to know days are numbered and endeavor to live each day that comes.I’m actually including sundays too
